"I just bought a new HP computer with 500G hard disk in one partition. I am very happy with my new computer, however, I need to split partition. How to increase a partition size using Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

The following are step-by-step procedures to increase a partition size by using free space of another partition:

1. Install and run Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0.

2. In the Wizards tab, click Increase Free Space.


3. In the Partition lists, click to select a partition that you want to increase the free space and click Next.


4. Click to select a partition that you want to take space from and click Next.


5. Do one of the following to specify the partition size and then click Next:
  • Move the slider
  • In the Partition size box, enter a desired value.

6. Review your hard disk structure and click Finish.

7. In the Operation menu, click Commit.

A dialog box appears asking you to reboot your computer in order to perform the operation.

8. Click OK.

Acronis reboots your computer and adjusts your partition size. It will restart your computer automatically after having increased the partition size.
